Cut Back On Sodium

How to Minimize Sodium in Your Diet

Sodium puts us at a higher risk for heart disease and elevated blood pressure, and even without a shake here and there, our food is already brimming with it. The American Heart Association (AHA) recommends limiting sodium intake to less than 1,500 milligrams a day, yet the average American eats over 3,000 milligrams a day, according to the AHA.
