The items that we liked were (all listed on the right Win by Losing Toolkit):
Meal plan (PDF) - which includes a guide on how to find out how many calories you should eat to lose, and a break down of the food groups and how many servings of each you should eat if you are following the calorie guide. It also has a sheet to check off the number of servings for each food group and water for the day, if you should prefer the pencil/paper method.
Recipes (PDF) - over 40 recipes of healthy meals that are referenced by the Meal plans
Meal Plans (PDF) for 1200/1600/2000/2400 calorie days, for four days
There are also two people you can follow (by blog or twitter) under the experts tab in the middle:

The first page is an opportunity to take a pledge of losing 10% of your body weight in the year 2013. I thought that since we chose 10% as our group goal that this might fit in well for some of you. Holtyn recommended this site to me, and Becky tells me if you sign up you'll receive some freebees in the mail. SO SIGN ME UP! :>) They say they'll "get you going with a free Starter Kit with motivational tips, money-saving offers and other good stuff."
If you browse the tabs at the top you'll find a few more free extras/PDF tools/recipes.
Thanks for the recap Penny. Looks like I missed a good one. I signed up for the Governors initiative - Free stuff is always good!I'm hoping to make the next gathering.
ReplyDeleteFor those that haven't received an email yet - a run/walk club is going to get started the first week of April with the goal of participating in the Cheetah Chase. Contact Michelle Wilson, Sara Reed or Catherine James for more info! We had a lot of fun last year together.
Keep making healthy choices ;-)
Thanks Holly for posting this. We are looking for suggestions on the times people would like to meet to run/walk. Either Thursday's at 5:15pm or Fridays at noon. Please let Michelle Wilson know what time works best for you.
